About Barbados
Barbados is an independent island nation located in the western Atlantic Ocean, just to the east of the Caribbean Sea, found at roughly 13° north of the Equator and 59° west of the Prime Meridian. Located relatively close to South America, the nation of Barbados is around 434 kilometres (270 mi) northeast of the South American nation of Venezuela.

Vendors are liable for the property transfer tax which is charged at the rate of 10% of the purchase rice.

Non-nationals can get up to 70% financing via FirstCaribbeanBank or bnbbank (barbados national bank)

It is advisable to employ the services of an attorney-at-law and a reputable real estate agent to handle these transactions. Legal fees are approximately 2% of the purchase price.
